1979年，一个兼职旅馆职员的大学女生在MI被谋杀。起初怀疑为抢劫但没有定案。直到

Janet Chandler murder

In 1979, hotel clerk and Hope College senior Janet Chandler was found raped
and murdered in a snowbank along Interstate 196 near Holland, Michigan.
Initially treated as a robbery, the case remained unsolved until a
documentary class, led by Dr. David Schock and Professor Phil Blauw,
produced a documentary in 2004, interviewing, among others, Chandler's
parents and the police that were originally on the case. The documentary
prompted a reopening of the case and, in 2006, the arrests of five security
guards and a hotel supervisor who was Chandler's roommate, all believed to
have had a hand in the kidnapping, torture, rape, and subsequent murder.
